Here in Satellite Beach, Florida. Still surfing everyday. Married 24 years with 2 kids.
Ken Gorman, Tim Hitchcock, Lindsey, Dave, Potter (akaTruckface?), and others.
I loved that place. Airfare too expensive for me know. I still get to Hawaii every winter though.

I learned to surf in front of the Rainmaker Hotel in 1972 and lived across the street. After learning we were regulars out at Lefts and Nu ulli. There were about 8 jr/high school surfer on the island and a local named toes for he had had 6 toes on each foot. Bill, Bryan, Dana Sweat (yes he lived in the village out by Lefts), Shaun, and others. I think we were the first to surf the Rock with an adventurous California that visited the island and stayed at our house and taught us to drink smoothies.
We also flew out to Manua, surfed and stayed in the village on the beach. The surf was easy and we taught some Samoan kids how to ride our boards. A wonderful time!
72, 73, 74.
I live in Glacier, WA now and snowboard Mt Baker.

Hey Dan, I think I remember you. The hotel break behind Rainmaker was always fun. I loved Lefts more than any other break! Nu'u'li was also really fun. I remember toes, stuffed TIm Hitchcok into a trash can one day. The Californian guy, was he the one who had the red apia stinger stolen by toes? Hid it in his rafters I think.
