Boards and travelling

So I'm going to Bali to surf for two weeks in September then heading out to aus for 6 months, I'm selling my board before I go and want to know how the best way to go about buying a new one out there. Two options: borrow a board from the company I am with in Bali for the two weeks then buy a decent board in aus without having to pay excess baggage, or buy a board in Bali and lug it to Australia. I want to spend the least money but not miss out with a crap board? Any ideas?
