Surfboard on SEQ buses

Hey all,
I am living in Brisbane and am planning to get my first 7" softboard!
Only only problem is that I don't have a car, so if I am going down to the coast to practice I have to go on bus/train.
Do anyone know am I allowed to bring surfboard on SEQ buses/trains?
Hiring a softboard for a day is $30 and buying one is around $90, So it's definitely more economical to buy one instead. But after all there is no point of getting one if I can't bring it to the coast :/
Thanks all
