where to live/surf for the summer« on: November 19 2005 12:11:00 »
a couple of us girls want to go to australia for the summer and surf our hearts out. does anyone have any ideas for where is the best place to shack up (beg/int. surf, warm water, cheap rent, temp. jobs, close to the beach) will be for us?

For beg/int surfers with temp work you want the east coast, try Byron Bay with plenty of others like yourself, or the Gold Coast, or for adventure with less people try Merimbula or Ulladulla

you could try the sunshine coast or gold coast. good waves in summer and lots of job opportunities and nightlife is good too. byron bay and northern nsw is good and less crowded but less work options.

beleive it or not the only real warm water in auz is north of about Coffs Harbour up to the Gold & Sunshine coasts. Everywhere else is springsuits to steamers even in summer.
