« on: January 20 2006 17:01:00 »

hi
i am going to spend a week in perth from feb1st to feb 8th.
does anyone know a cheap and surfing-convenient place to stay?
how much do i roughly have to calculate for a used 6´8´´ in ok condition with a shitty design?
does anyone know if quantas charges for surfboards on inner-australian flights? how much?
will i need a wetsuit?
a lot of questions...i would be happy to trade in some german beer...

thanks for your help

Patrick you'd want to stay around scarborough.  The swells generally small that time of year and beach breaks scarborough/trigg pick up most swell so there your best bet.  There's several places to stay from cheap $15-20 backpackers to the whole 5 star treatment and in between and there all on beach. Not 100% sure about quantas, will just depend on how much other luggage u have.  No wettie needed that time of year.  Occasionally it'll be a bit chilly but you should be right.
