« on: March 05 2006 23:03:00 »

im lookin to head to the sunshine coast for a month in aug and im wondering how cold its gonna be. im hoping its gonna be nothing but 30 days of sun and surfing in boardshorts, but really i have no idea what im gettin into. so far ive hearD mixed responses about how cold the water is, but cant really get a staright answer. much appreciated if someone could tell me. even some general information about the area (hostels, nightlife, etc...) would be nice.

A spring suit should do you . Water temp is 15-20 degrees av
its the cool off sure westerlys that will chill your bones. The water is warmer than the air temp AND WIND CHILL FACTOR many days. With luck yo will score some tasty clean swell.
hope this helps
