bodyboarding & shark nets

« on: April 25 2006 23:04:00 »

I am a Canadian and have been in Sydney for the las 6 months.  I can't surf for crap but I wanted to know if there is a site that rates bodyboarding areas, especially around the northern beaches area.

Also, shark nets around beaches... are they a myth?  There have been some recent shark spottings around manly and dee why.

Shark nets are the wackest things known to man, the ocean is their home, we are guest to them, leave sharks alone, shit happens.

The ocean is the shark's habitat huh? Well, guess what? Everywhere is man's habitat, from the ocean to the stars. Now, just because Mr. Shark's big teeth and almond size brain lose out to man's big brain and bigger nets is no reason to lament. Man's big brain is doin' in the earth and himself. But, at least he won't get bit on that surf before we've all killed ourselves. The party's over, just enjoy it.
The shark is at second from the top of the oceanic food chain, we more than took his place and nobody's going to miss him, except Chinese soup slurpers trying to get verile.
