surfing WA in june and july« on: May 25 2006 10:05:00 »
I am moving to Singapore in a few months and wanted to know what it was like in WA if you are an american. i am definately intersted in surfing everyday and i am wondering what the accomodations are like. will it cost me an arm and a leg to stay for 2 months or is it resonable. i appreciate any info you can provide. also, how hard is it for someone to come and teach school in WA. i am a school teacher and would like to experience other areas of education and was wondering how difficult it was to get a work visa. thanks for your time! ja

i dont know how much they pay ya in singapore but school teachers are among the worst paid professionals out here so i wouldnt bother comin to teach. depending on where u wanna stay for 2 mths (south west is better for surf) u could rent a house for about 100 - 300 skins a week. u'll have no trouble surfin everyday if ur hear in winter or autumn. summer is a pretty lean for swell in the metro but margaret river area will still have some waves regularly.
