travel to west oz and melbourne« on: January 11 2005 02:01:00 »
How is the melbourne area for surfing? easy to access good breaks? also, ill be heading to west oz but am looking more for intermediate surf- nothing firing too crazy. I heard Yallingup would be ideal but are there places to stay? Or should i stay around Perth/Fremantle?

I heard you can get a quality wave in the bay at MElbourne , Not much luck in the west tho , All straight break closeouts.
NO seriously , you can get quality waves in either direction of Melbourne , East -Phillip Island , Gunnamatta ,or West -Torquay through all along the coast to Adelaide . Careful tho locals are heavy.
