South East Coast in Oct/Nov

Hi I'm thinking of travelling the coast road from sydney to Melbourne in search of waves in early November? Any advice? I'm coming down from the gold coast to do it as I've been here 2 weeks & it seems to be mostly northerly onshore winds up here this time of year?
Any advice much appreciated?

Bawley point is pretty famous. Broulee, middle beach between Bermagui and Tathra. Tathra main beach. Short Point in Merimbula and Bar beach. that's a few in the NSW far south coast. if i tell you more the locals will be pretty shitty

I'd avoid the whole area.. too many sharks and crazy locals!  Well, more the locals to be honest.  They can be a super grumpy lot.  It you must surf here bring a 4mm suit and I'm talking summer hey.. brainfreezes are the norm.

Come to think of it.  Stick to the mountains and go walking.

Bye
