Wher to live in the Gold Coast while going to Griffith?

« on: May 03 2007 20:05:00 »

Hey like I said in my previous post, I am moving to Gold Coast for school and surf. Just wondering the best place to live that is close to both. (u of Griffith and Surf).

I hear surfers paradise(area of the city) is good and close to the beach but also loud and crazy because of the party scene. I here Broadbeach is a good spot to live but wondering how close it is to the Uni taking a bus. Southport seems to be popular among Griffith students as well.

Any advise again would be greatly apreciated

I reckon Southport is the go it's a little from the surf but not too far to go even on a pushbike. Cheeper shops etc and I reckon it's good to get a way from the surf scene to get a fresh outlook when you go to the surf. It feels a lot more passive at Southport with the trees and Broadwater type river.
North end of Surfers isn't too bad for surf but it can get rips so you should be careful as a beginer. ( Explore)
