HELP FOR SURF INFORMATION« on: June 10 2005 07:06:00 »
I am an italian guy, and I have to move from this flat sea country to Adelaide for study and work, for about 6 months. And obviously I am a surfer (a little)... not so good but I have passion.
Can someone tell me some important information that I have to know before moving in October?
Every useful (and not useful) information will be welcome. I need info 'cause I don't know so much about the region.
Thank you again.

- What kind of wetsuit I need to bring (if I need) during the period October-March) ?
- What is the means height of waves and frequency of the swell during this period?
- How big is the risk of Shark ?
- What is the spots nearest to Adelaide? Exist some kind of little spots on the Adelaide beaches to avoid a day-trip from the city centre?
- If I stay in Adelaide centre, You think I need a car for reach every spots?

Hey I'm from NSW and have never been down that way but any info is good: the water would have truly been chilled that time of year, good steamer, booties, possibly hood.
Shark attack in past two years.
Definitely nice waves to be had if the passion is there.
