WHERE TO GOO!!!!

I am a pretty advanced surfer (4-6 foot is perfect) and jsut wondering what would be my best best over all of aussie to go to to study abroad.  I live in North Carolina and am used to bareback summers with boots and gloves for the winters
i am jsut wondering what area has the best waves, meaning consistency and fun more than size, and the best temperature.  I might attend Deakin Univ. at Geelong, and i know this is near some good breaks in southern australia, but i was wondering what would be the best time to go, either march though june or july through november
any help would be grealty appreciated, or any suggestions of a better college iwht better temperatures and better surf.  Thanks again

RE: WHERE TO GOO!!!!

well I cant say much about Geelong as a city I havent been there, wouldnt want to either.  Stay North if you want good weather. Below Sydney is freaken cold in winter. Queensland has nice all year round summers. Gold Coast is said to be best weather and waves. Most of our pro surfers are from here or they move here because of the consistency.  Lots of North Americans too. Its a great place, some people say its like a small Florida?? Dont know if its true but it might give you an idea.

RE: WHERE TO GOO!!!!

The Goldie rocks (that is the Gold Coast of Australia) a bit crowded but if your willing to search you can find some pretty sweet beach breaks without many out. There are 2 colleges 1. Bond university and 2.Griffith University Southport.
Good luck
