Stay on 26 ft Yacht near Angourie / Yamba / Illuka (Work)

« on: December 07 2008 17:12:00 »

I've a 26 ft Fibreglass Yacht / Floating and livable.
It needs work and would be interested if persons or people would like to do some work on it for a place to stay. It had a double bunk up in the bow and two singles at the stern with room for one more in the gallery area. It has a self draining cockpit a is quite beamy. Some water is entering through the deck into the bilges. I'm sort of stuck in Lismore but may yet move onto the yacht. I've yet to move it to Yamba or Harwood or somewhere.
I'm open to offers to help fix up the Stonaway what was built at Yamba. I've left the origional mast and sails with the previous owner and would like to establish a more suitable rig to my own liking. Any constructive replies and inquiries are welcomed.
Aloha

I moved the boat to Harwood opposite to where my son resides. I was 2 fun days with him moving it.

It's supposed to be $ 132 per week with electricity and water to moor it at Iluka on jetty at fishermans co op or $ 120 wk at Yamba near marina. Only $55 at Evans Head with no power.
I to do some work near Byron for about 1 month and may move to boat after.

I don't  think this thing is going to happen right away as the harbours and marine want the boat moved from it's present mooring.  I've also have a car with a motor not going.

My son and I would probally sell the boat with a 6Hp Johnson Outboard or without the motor.

I'd take $50 for this boat and it not leaking through the hull. Only some rainwater through the deck and cabin.

With the motor I want $500.

I've still got this boat.

It only takes one other genuine interested party to make a dream come true.

I've got the anchor, stove, rope etc off the boat. I may look for another boat and would prefer to have some thing only up to 5 .5 mts as it would not have to registered. My 96 Mitsu express van is at Harwood for the last 2 months as I carn't seem to get spark for ignition. ( I've tried a few different things to get spark) I've a little Suzuki hatch i've been geting about in.I know some good breaks around and would be prepared to have the right person team up with me to live in the van.
I've a 6 hp Seahorse Johnson outboard too.   Aloha
