hey folks-- nephew 22 will be going to australia for first time, thinking of living in either australia or bali or split time between the two. any suggestions on a good guide book to carry for surfing/cheaply travelling/living in australia? thank you much!

Both Nat Young and Mark Warren have surf guide books for Aus. Lonely planet is from Australia, and are generally very good books for travelling with respect to transport, accomodation food, costs etc.
