il be travelling to the gold coast for 3 months from around febuary - may. does anyone have any tips on were to stay and how much it will cost, im not looking to be on the move much so i need a long term place to rent out, ie an apartment, but have no idea about prices yet. im going on the trip purely for surfing and was wondering how easy it is to get about with a surfboard up and down the coast with a surfboard aswel. thanks for any help

I stayed at Southport as it's cheaper than the actual Goldie and just a walk over the bridge to get to Surfers or we used to get on a bus with our boards and go to Kirra etc. Paddled accross the Broadwater with 2 pomie guys and a guy in a boat came along and gave us a lift. You can get to South Stradie to easy and it's top wave at the right time. Aloha

there is heaps of rentals and rooms for rent on the website. If you are arriving in feb, then it will just be coming out of the peak holiday period and there should be some more accom available that isn't so expensive. Also, check out the waves around the north coast of NSW, there are heaps of spots around there.

thanks alot, il have a look. i surfed snapper rocks and the pass at byron bay about 3 years ago around arpirl and got some great waves
