Best Brisbane Suburbs for easy access to CBD & Gold Coast

Hi all,

Moving to Brisbane CBD with wife. Working in CBD. Looking for some recommended suburbs to stay for easy access to beach and city.

Don't mind travelling up to 1 hr to beach on weekends etc, but not more than 1 hr. Can you recommend some?

Brisbane is built up all the way to the Gold Coast from Brisbane so take your pick. Like the old joke  ( Hang 2 Shovels on the wall, but take your pick)

Murarrie is your answer. 20 -25 mins to the cbd by train.  Straight on the gateway motorway to be at the Goldie or the sunny coast in an hour.  If you are game you can also get to straddie in about an hour on the passenger boat.  Only hazards are aircraft noise and coal train noise if too close to railway line. It's also a fairly cheap suburb to get into. A bit of a sleeper actually. Check it out for yourself.
