we have a really nice place on the south, 10 minutes drive from most restaurants and a surf break just out side your front door.
My website is www.barbadossurf.com

For intermediate surfing the north west coast has good fun waves. The south is usually smaller, south point and freights can be good if there is enough swell. Was out in 06 and most of the nightlife is on the south of the island, best to base yourself in the south, depending on yiour accomodation budget you can get a hotel either side of the GAP and be close to the bars' restaurants and not far from the surf. I'm going back in Jan 08! good luck
