looking for a surfboard« on: April 09 2006 05:04:00 »
Hello, I just moved to Belgium and am looking to get into surfing. I've only surfed once, in San Diego, and can't wait to get back into the water. Does any one have any tips about finding a board. I thought about starting on a longboard because I've been told it's easier to learn. I looked and found nothing on ebay. Any good shops around? Does anyone have a used board they're trying to get rid of?
Thx a bunch,

You can find a board at "Noordzee Surf & Ski" in Mortsel near antwerp. A longboard is the best to learn surfing, after you get used to that you can try shorter boards... If you want to surf here the only place that sometimes has ok waves is near the pier in Ostend. But you realy can't compare it with the nice european spots in France, Spain, Portugal, Canaries, ... Good luck dude
