Surfing without sharks« on: June 09 2007 02:06:00 »
I was in Pipa last February and had a lot of surfing fun. I would say that my level is begginer/intermediate, but I ma aiming to improve. I will travel again to Brazil next Christmas and I will travel around. I heard about a lot of fun places to surf, but i heard also of sharks, which I would like to avoid. Could you please suggest best places to surf shark free?
I apologize if this is a stupid question, but it does not sound as fun with sharks!

the only place you have to avoid in Brasil is the city of Recife at Pernambuco State. There they built a new draining for the port a few years ago and an ecological disaster has happened, making the sharks come close to the beach.
That's the only spot in Brasil that shark attacks occurs.
Good trip for you,
