yes there is surf on pei between august and and dec it's posible to get 40- 50 decent days. mostly all surf is locallized wind swell, sometimes after a huge storm the wind will go offshore and we can have some pretty nice waves but this only happens about 5-10 times per year. If you visiting pei bring a fish or funboard, leave the thruster at home. like to meet any surfers coming to the island and hookup for a surf call me at pat 902 676-2930

Hi Pat,
I'm heading up to PEI  in July to bike and enjoy that Island along with my wife and young son.  I would love to surf up there in July.  Do you think it will be wise to bring my board or do you feel it's unlikelyt o catch waves in July.
Looking forward to visiting your beautiful Island,

just came across your post buddy. Im from PEI and never even saw a swell like  the pic yo posted. has your luck for surf been good this summer? Do you know where I can find a beat up board? I surf, but left numerous boards by the wayside in the UK and Aus.

Growing up on PEI people say that you cant surf, its more that you need to be there when you can surf cause it wont last long. Past few years working in as a Kayak Guide iv learned a bit about the conditions which are favorable. PEI National park  gets waves from Northerly winds, the longer and strong the wind is around obvioulsy the bigger the waves, how ever on this part of our shore you have to wait for conditions to shift to get small windows of decent conditions. Working on the shore this summer we got maybe 3 days with reasonable waves. Often we got north-winds with forecasted to just blow out and never change before the waves die off, under these systems on the points of the island( have only seen east but presuming the west point also)  wave wrap right around to about red point provincal park, with a nice offshore breeze from the northerly wind.
