Montreal surfing?

« on: October 02 2005 16:10:00 »

I was told that there are people surfing somewhere in Montreal on the St. Lawrenc.  Does anyone know about this?  If so, how do I get there from Burlington, VT?  I am a MA surfer in VT for winter.

I live in Burlington, VT and have surfed many spots, but being here for the winter it sucks. Let me know. Thanks, David

the waves are at habitat'67.  go to motreal's old port, verry easy to find when you enter montreal from the south,it,s a tourrist street facing the water called "de la commune".it's a brick road ,you can not miss it. look for the futuristic buildings on a stretch of land in front of the port ;you can see this from  the old port so you'll know where to end up even if you get confused...) drive over there. park under the bridge. Then go arroud the tennis court to the back and you will find a trail leading to the waves .
.Good luck!
