is peru (chicama safe?)

« on: February 02 2009 17:02:00 »

Hi friends, I'm wondering if Chicama is safe for women. I was so excited when I researched surfing in Peru and read about Chicama! I want to go but I have now heard that I could lose my life or be traumatized by the possible experiences there. Sounds like an amazing place but the locals can be unreasonably violent and don't respect life from what I've heard from some negative reviews.

But it's still south America.
Also depends where you stay.
