There's so many people wanting to get together and surf in the GTA. I'm one of them. I used to surf in Australia and now after a while in Canada, I discovered Great Lakes surfing.
I started a group on Facebook. Not sure if it's anymore convenient than GlobalSurfers, but I'll let you all be the judge of that.
Facebook Group: The Toronto Surf Club

I am just over yonder from T.O and I would like to know where or if ANY board shops are available in the region. I need a new board and some spare fins.

Hey I am interested in joining this club as well. I live in the North area of Toronto and have been itching to get back into the water with some like minded people. Only problem is I don't have facebook. So if you could email me and let me know about any updates or whatever that would be awesome.

So, I just moved here from Victoria and before that was living in Indo and thought my surf days were over. My board is depressingly slumped against my living room wall, with chunks of dried out wax slowly falling to the floor as it waits to be taken somewhere....
On a whim I googled "Surfing Toronto" for a lark and you appeared! It is true? There are places to surf out here? Surely you jest.....

hey everyone, im from mississauga and i am currently going to school in hawaii, i have 2 more years here, i'm living on the beach here, and obviously have a board and surf most days of the week. I was googling surfing in ontario and you guys came up, which totally got me by surprise haha, i am debating bringing my board home for summer now, but i will definately be bringing it after i graduate. How often are there descent waves in the area that are surfable? is it just like a pretty rare thing to surf the great lakes, or is it regular, like a swell every week like in the pacific?

hey, hawaii is awsome for surfing , im affraid you will be dissapointed if you go to surf lake ontario. it is rare to have good day in the summer on lake ontario, its probaby the worst of all the great lakes. i live on the east side of lake eire and the waves arent to big but there fairly reliable and always smooth the west side of erie is even better. if your down for the drive to lake eire give me a shout
