Good surf spots in Chile help?« on: August 24 2006 03:08:00 »
Hi, my partner and 10 year old son are looking to travel to chile from mid january to end of march next year, any ideas on where is safe and fun for a 10 year old? is the surf massively big that time of year and is there much else to do other than surf and is it very cheap to stay there? thanks all help appreciated!

Yeah, the surf can get pretty big and powerful that time of year. I was there a few years ago around that time. I used a surf guide from surfguidechile.com. i think it costed around 5 US dollars. it had quite a bit of information i remember.
good luck on your trip,

yeah the surf maps from surfguidechile.com were great. i used them a few months ago. i won´t have been able to find half the breaks i surfed if i would not have used them. plus they email them to you in pdf format so you can access the info from anywhere or just print it out. enjoy your trip.
