Possibly going to school in Santiago

Hey,
I am a student at a univeristy in northern california, and am trying to decide where I should go on exchange next year. I have been surfing for about eight years, and am curious if there are waves close to Santiago and if I would be able to get there easily. Also what type of city it is? ANy other comments.

RE: Possibly going to school in Santiago

Hey dude,

There's lots of waves on the coast near Santiago a couple hours away. Good spots around Pichilemu, Valpariaso, and Vina del Mar. There's a really good surf spot guide available at "surfguidechile" dot com. I used it last year.

good luck,

mark
