The buses in Chile with boards will improve your Spanish that is for sure. It is difficult, but worth it if you are on a budget. However you will see a lot more of the country if you have a car. Hands down. Suerte!

I'm going to be in Santiago April 16th to 24th, then I need a ride to Iquique. I have a board with me as well, and would like to stop at a few breaks on the way up. Anyone wanna share a car rental or know anyone who does a quick surf tour up the coast I could jump on?
Muchas Gracias y hasta luego!
