Going to be in Chile for a little bit in April ...
« on: December 08 2009 10:12:00 »If anyone knows the best place to stay that's cheap within walking distance to 3-4 different waves that would be rad. On my trip, I wont have a car so it would be cool if there was a place close to the beach/not to expensive.
Not looking to spend more then 30USD a night.
Thanks. I know this is a dream situation, but if there is only one good break thats just as fine.

One of the problems about surfing in Chile would be the distance and the fact that public transportation sucks, so you might have to rent a car, the other problems would be the lack of quality rights and cold water if you go south. To get to the best wave in the country (Punta de Lobos, close to Pichilemu) you NEED a car. The place is awesome and waves are perfect, you don't want to miss that. Chile isn't an expensive country so try to make an efford and rent a car. Along the country you can find awesome places! Cheers!

I am searching for a good spot too!
