Surf trips Viña/Valpo to Pichilemu?« on: October 15 2010 08:10:00 »
I'm a canadian living in Viña since 2008. I'm always ripping around the V and VI regions on surf trips, but since my gringo buddies have left chile and my viña buddies are not too keen to travel very far, I often find myself traveling alone in my jeep with my surfboard (que fome!). If anybody is interested to chip in a bit for fuel, I have plenty of room in my jeep for surf trips between Viña/Valparaiso and Pichilemu and elsewhere, and always keen to meet more local or foreign surfers willing to mission for waves.

I'm from Southeast Alaska, and will be traveling in the area with my girlfriend for about 5 weeks in Nov-dec. We're wanting to surf as much as possible, and would gladly pay for gas. We're planning on camping and learning to surf. Do you use a wetsuit that far north? Send me an e-mail if you like. Thanks,

Hi guys, I´m from Argentina, and I´ll be in Chile in mid November, I want to go surfing and take pictures from Pichilemu and keep going up north, for a few weeks. 3/2 not enough? definetly 4/3 ? I´m keen to share petrol, I´m also cooking macrobiotic food, if somebody is interested in. I´m gonna be doing some shots and writing a note for an argie surfing mag. Keep in touch. Pura Vida ! I´ ve been in Canada for 3 months, and surf Tofino and Ucluelet for 2 months, pristine landscapes!

Sorry to bother with a semi-unrelated query but- where would the most appropriate spot be to learn to surf in Chile? Assuming that the surfers lining the coast there are pretty chill and friendly and not overly aggressive and territorial as they tend to be on the west coast of the States- safe to assume? Cheers!

We are a couple about to journey throughout South America, arriving in Santiago on Nov 17, 2010.
Currently living aloha on Oahu, Hawaii and dream to surf our way from Santiago to Colombia. We'd love to share some waves with you, petrol, food and good times.
Will bring wetsuits, but not the boards, maybe you know of possible rentals?
We'll hit you up after we arrive, until then
