Pacific Coast Colombia II - Feb 2010« on: March 27 2010 21:03:00 »
Please feel free to write if you need good, solid info on Colombia (either coast). I have made four trips there over the last few years and have been exploring the Pacific Coast for the last year, riding cargo boats and hitching rides with local fishermen as there are still no roads in or out; last trip being Feb., 2010. As posted before, I have journals and logistics that give reliable, up-to-date info. A part of re-posting is that things are changing somewhat there; 30%of the country is still at war as witnessed by the Buenaventura bombing last week (Mar-2010) where 10 people were killed and 60 seriously injured. It is important to know where you are heading on the Pacific Coast as many spots are still not safe whereas others are fine. Igualmente, se les mando la información en español,como quieran. hey, i will be traveling in south america come February and am contemplating traveling into columbia via ecuador. Basically wondering if there are many surf spots easily accessible on the pacific and if it is safe. We will possibly be driving our own vehicle if we can successfully purchase one in ecuador. any info you have would be helpful. Thanks
