RE: aitutaki

Didnt surf there.. as i didnt take my board with me..left it on raro..But i think for sure it would be worth exploring the reef around the atol as when i was on a boat tour i watched some sweet waves at numerous spots.. with a local and a boat im sure you could track down great rides.. having said that im sure that it would be the same as raro, super shallow..

RE: aitutaki

Quick question. How shallow it there?

RE: aitutaki

It is so shallow that you'd want to surf on the high tide as low tide can expose the reef. This happens at pretty much all spots on rarotonga. There urchins on the reefs too.

RE: aitutaki

Yes - There is surf on Aitutaki. Have boat? It's a must.
Shallow reef breaks are the norm, very dangerous.
Sharp, shallow and gnarly.
Difficult to get to and fickle.
Good Luck.
