Surf Camp recommendations Costa Rica« on: April 18 2015 04:04:00 »
Been wanting to learn to surf for a long time, and am thinking about going on a surf camp in Costa Rica this summer.
Does anyone have any recommendations. I am s ingle woman, 28, social and easy going.
I have looked at different surf camps in Jaco, Tamarrindo and Nosara, prices seem to vary a lot.
Help is appreciated

Surf Simply in Nosara is good, but not cheap. Tamarindo is a bit of a shot hole of a twon in my opinion, there's also some decent surf camps in the Mal Pais / Sanata Teresa area of Costa Rica

I just did this exact trip. Single, male, 29, beginner surfer. I ended up going to Playa Carmen between Mal Pais and Santa Teresa. I stayed at the Green Rooms. I highly recommend it...

I agree tamarindo is a bit rough, I had my laptop and ipod stolen out of my room. Not going back there.
