Tamarindo/Jacó --> which town is better to get a new board« on: April 17 2006 10:04:00 »
hey... i'm going to cr in july for 2 months. my plan is to go to either go to tamarindo or jaco first to get a new stick as it would cost me 150 euros (one way) to bring my own boards from europe.
which of those towns is better stocked with boards?
do you also think a 6.4 should work in most of costa ricas waves? (doesn't get really big too often as far as i've heard)
but my main question is which of those towns (jacó or tamarindo) is the better choice to get a board.

Jaco would be your best bet for boards. Lots of shops that carry new and used boards.
Waves can get big in the summer, often double overhead. Especially on the pacific coast in around jaco/playa hermosa.
6'4" should work no problem.
