Surf Trip

« on: November 02 2004 21:11:00 »

Me and 2 buds are taking a surf trip down to CR on Dec.16 -Jan.11.  Wanted to see if anyone else is going down there during this time?  Also, we are planning on going to Tamarindo to start then follow the waves to the best breaks.  Anyone have any reccomendations on places to stay that are cheap, super budget friendly?

Yeah, me and about 6 others are coming down to CR from Dec. 28 to Jan 13.  We'll be in Tamarindo, Jaco, and Nosara for most of the trip.  My buddy found some pretty cheap places to stay and just booked them the other day.  I'll see if I can't get you some prices of the places he found.

I love CR... you should go buy a "Surfer's Guide to Costa Rica." I have plugged this already to a bunch of other posts, but it is a dang fine investment. Under $20, it has hotels, rates, directions, phone numbers, surf maps, etc... just show up in town and bargain for a rate. You should never pay more than $15 per person for a room. I think we averaged about $10 and spent as low as $6.
