Renting a House Boat in CR

I have heard of many people just renting a house boat and living there for weeks or months at a time. Is this the case? and if so does anyone know if its relatively cheap and easy to get one?

Hola...I am interested what you found about house boats...I might start a company to rent houseboats.  I have lived in CR for 15 years and I spend much of my time thinking about houseboats.  Theer is one big lake and I will go there to find out more.  Hope to hear back form you... Richard
