How will tamarindo be in January?« on: August 14 2007 15:08:00 »
Me and my bro are looking to do are first surf trip, and were thinking about Tamarindo area in January. We are intermediate surfers, so we do not want large waves, but consistent waves. Will it be very crowded? Any other suggestions?

January is a great time to come down. You will see sunshine and 30C everyday. For lesson and board rental, check out www.puramar.com There's nothing like surfing Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

The best season for North Pacific Coast goes from December to April, with strong offshore winds combine with ideal swell directions to put breaks in perfect form.

I'm on my way to CR, and will be in Tamarindo for Dec 15th.
Staying at Witches Rock for the first couple of days to get my Spanish and Surf up to speed. Then I've got about 3 weeks to adventure and surf.
I'm solo, so it'd be great to hook up on some trips/share costs on cars and boats to other surf spots. Let me know what you are up to.
Also, I'd like to be in a good spot for Xmass and New Years. Any recommendations?
