Playa Hermosa - Rent a board or bring my own?« on: February 27 2008 20:02:00 »
I'm going on a week long trip to Playa Hermosa from March 7th to the 15th. I've got two 6'0 squashes that I was considering stuffing in a boardbag and bringing, but I don't know if they're a good boards for the type of surf thats at Hermosa. I'm 5'9 155lbs, and they do the job well here in Florida. Are they the right size boards to be surfing on in Hermosa?
Also; If I didn't bring my boards with me, where could I rent boards in Hermosa, and how much would I be looking to pay per day?

There are a ton of surf shops in jaco to rent a board. You should be able to find any thing you need. Where are you staying in Hermosa?

I decided to pack my boards up and bring 'em with me. I figured the cost would be worth it considering I'll be able to bring 2 boards for $100 rather than just rent 1 for around $120/week.
