WHo has tried surf goggles & what works the best?

« on: April 26 2008 12:04:00 »

Glare is killing me when I surf after school.

My eye doctor told me that I am developing a cataract on my right eye and that I need to protect my eyes like my skin while in the sun.

He recomended Kurtis Surf Goggles?

Any feedback on Kurtis or Oakley?

If you are gonna wear shades you betta know how to surf.

KUrtis the owner is a dick and if he didn't have such a big crew (Kala, Sunny) I would drop kick his jujitsu ass!!

Don't know about the Andy Irons model, but Kurtis USA is hyping the Makaha model and going big with it.

Use coupon code myfriend for 5% off.  Got it off ww.myspace.com/KurtisUSA

Use Native Ignition sunglasses, Oakleys or SeaSpecs....they are legit companies and their stuff works.

I have bad pterygiums and tried all the sunglass surf shades (Oakley seapex , and croakies real tight on sunglasses - all sank or lenses were blury and popped out) brands.  The frames were hard, uncomfortable and dangerous in heavy surf!
Christian Fletcher turned me onto the Duke Surf Goggles by Kurtis USA.  They cost me $200.00, but the comfort, flexibility and quality has proven themselves.
Worth a look.

I have Sea Specs and used them once.  The water beaded up on the lenses and drove me insane.  Do all the surf glasses do this?  Or, which don't..  I have bad U.V. damage too on both eyes.

Kurtis Surf Goggles are the best. I wear the Duke style. Awesome. Light on the face, protective, float--- the best.
