Solo Surfing Trip - Beginner - Female - February 2009« on: December 03 2008 13:12:00 »
Hi all, female, looking to head down 2/6/09-2/20/09, landing in Liberia. New to the entire region. Want to take a week of surf lessons then browse around (backpacking) for a week. Any recommendations on cheap stay/lessons/eats...fun would be greatly appreciated. Love, T

I am going to post some good travel advice soon on http://surfinjaco.com so you can check that out. I do not know what your budget is but going to a all girls surf camp has been very nice for many tourists wanting to learn how to surf and then backpack.
I cannot recommend anything up in Guanacaste but I can say for sure it is not for backpacking. I do not like to go up there because everything is so spread out unlike the central pacific near Jaco it is great for backpacking because you can go to Mal Pais, Jaco, Quepos-Manual Antonio then to Dominical even from there check out the provincial capital San Isidro, very cool area.
If you want any suggestions for girls surf camps here in Jaco/Hermosa area let me know and I will email you the links.
Ciao and good luck!
