learn spanish in CR and go surfing

Hi there!
I'm planing a 3 month trip to Central America. I'd like to start in Costa Rica. Stay there for about 4 weeks to take spanish lessons and go surfing! Afterwords I'd like to go to Nicaragua - El Salvador - Guatemala... Don't know exactly!

Does anyone has any tips like where to stay in CR - Tamarindo or Jaco? Good and cheap spanish school?

I will be there beginning of december until end of february. If anyone else has about the same plan, contact me. Heard it's pretty dangerous for solo girls?!

RE: learn spanish in CR and go surfing

I'm planning a trip to Costa etc. the same time and rockin it solo myself.  Be awesome to have a partner in crime to meet up with.  This will be my first time there also so maybe we can learn the ropes together.  Planning on hitting Jaco first, really just to purchase a board then getting outta there pretty quick.  From what i've heard its crowded and a lil pricey there.  But that's really as far as my plans go for now.  Not looking to make much of an itinerary.

I'll be there around that time. Im just staying in costa rica though. Im headed to the south west side of costa rica. If you head that way let me know. Witches rock is a great place to start. A little north of Tamarindo.

As far as spanish goes I would look into it when you get there. Plenty of tutors that will teach you while sipping drinks. Check the local shops for fliers. Its easy and cheap.
