Need to find a good surf camp in January to sharpen my skillz!!« on: October 29 2013 17:10:00 »
I will be heading somewhere in Central America in mid January and i am looking for a good surf camp to go to for 10 days. Leaning towards Panama, Costa Rica or Nicarua. I have gone a couple times before and dont need to be pushed into the waves, or shown how to get up, but need to learn some actual skills! Any suggestions on where to go? Want decent swells but nothing huge, and i dont want to be fighting for the wave with 50 other people. Just want to learn something new and meet some really cool people.

I used to work in a Surf Camp called witch's rock in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. It's cool because of the people and they have beginners, intermediate, and advanced. They can offer you a week with guided tour so they take you to different beaches around.
Have a Pura Vida time!!

i just opened a surf camp in the south pacific area of costa rica close to a small town of Uvita. i have been surfing at this beach and area for the last 13 years so i know the waves really well.i will cater to what kind of surfing experience you want and this is a full on surf camp with 3 meals a day provided( i take pride in cooking delicious and healthy food) a couple different tours in the area-canyoning(repelling down waterfalls) and jungle/waterfall trekking.
i have a furnished cabin that is very rustic and you get the full costa rica experience as it is nestled in the jungle with beautiful surroundings and nature also the cabin is a 2 minute walk to the beach :)
