Where to base myself for a DR surf holiday?

« on: September 08 2013 10:09:00 »

Thinking about taking a surf holiday to the Dominican republic. Where is the best place to base myself? South Coast / North coast?
Any tips of good tours, camps or hotels to stay at?

Unless you want to be hurricane wave chasing the next 2 months on the south coast, I would suggest staying in Cabarete on the North coast of the Dominican Republic. Consistent waves and a bunch of different surf spots to choose from
Have fun
