Rent or bring your own surfboard?

Hello,

I'm planning to come to DR this january and I have a basic question: is it easy to rent or buy a surfboard overthere or is it better to bring your own material? And what kind (size) of board is the "best" for the waves on the northshore in winter?

Thanx for your answers

RE: Rent or bring your own surfboard?

Ali's surf camp rents out surfboards and is a great place to stay in Cabarete.
Or bring the same board you usually ride , conditions vary between 1' and 12' waves
