Iberostar Punta Cana in late june, wheres surf? bring board?

Cousin is getting married at the Iberostar resot in punta cana.  should i go through the hassel of bringin my board?  or could i just rent there?  if there are waves in june and within walking distance of the resort i would like to bring it. tell me what you think.
