Currently there's a good east swell running that will stick around for another few days.

There's also other spots in the area that are good ( maybe better) without anyone out there, the water is warm year round, the nightlife superb, spearfishing is also possible, but not among the best in the world.

In November it is for sure not crowded at Encuentro. It's low season, but the waves are good. Encuentro is never a really crowded spot, especially not when you compare it to many spots in other countries.

Thanks! Any recommendations on places to stay? Ideally we'd like to be at a hotel with a pool, bar, with ok surf within walking distance, decent spearfishing straight out (our water is 52 here, I guarantee it will seem world class to us), and bars and restaurants within stumbling distance. For the sweet waves or some real fishing we can head out of town on a mission. You'll earn yourself a meal or a bunch of drinks for this. Thanks!
