I'm heading to DR in May, to Encuentro.  Is it still good ridable waves in May, or is it not worth it for me....I'm also a beginner...thanks

May is a great tikme for a beginner to surf at Encuentro. Stay at Ali's surfing camp in Cabarete, the best place to stay in Cabarete.

There will be some rain, but usually ony for a short periodin the evening.
