as you drive from bahia principal about 5 mins toward cabberet you will see a sign on a very small road that says el grinngos drive to the end you will come to a beach resteraunt exellent food at good prices(for when you get fed up of all inclusive) fantastic derserted beach with same surf as cabberet. PS if your going to hire a car ask the bell boys at the hotel its alot cheaper than hireing though the hotel for the same old cars.

I don't know any spots near Gaspar Hernandes. Maybe Las Canas is surfable. I was at the gringo place once and it was completely flat. The surf is not the same as Encuentro in Cabarete.
I would reccoment to change the hotel to Cabarete and enjoy the surf here. Bahia Pricipe is pretty remote from everything, and you need to rent a car anyway. So costwise it will not make a difference
