surfboard rental

hey, i'll be visiting the north coast starting next sunday.  I'll be there for a week and was planning on bringing two surfboards with me.  I called the airline today and they are going to charge me $300 roundtrip per board (ripoff).  If anyone knows a way around the fee I would greatly appreciate it.  The airline is Delta.  Otherwise I am just going to rent a board when I get there.  Any recomendations on where to rent from?  It would be nice if I could rent it right at Encuentro.  I would like to rent a decent shortboard (maybe a 6'6).  Any info would be great.  Thanks

RE: surfboard rental

There's a few places at Encuentro where you can rent some good board from, I'd recommend Marcus at 321 takeoff because he is a nice guy, and has a good selection of boards
Alternatives are Bobo's and Antionio's at Encuentro

RE: surfboard rental

We work together with Antonio. He has the widest setup and the advantage is that there is always somebody there.
The school is all the way to the left. Just pass by and check all the schools before.

Airlines man......They know how to make their money :-)
