May is good, can still have the odd northerly swell, less crowds and good weather.
Dunno about that Quiksilver house. Best to stay in center of town for all the action.

May can be pretty good for surfing. Most people where staying at my place like the waves all year around.
In the summer (june, july, aug) it's a bit less then in the winter, but excellent for beginners and intermediate surfers. You will find the biggest waves in the winter, but depending what you are used to, summer is good enough for most. We receive the whole year around people who are still learning aswell more advanced surfers and everybody is always very happy with the waves here.
Off course like on any other spot. One day its better then the other....

I comment on this before. The Quicksilv house is next to my place on Encuentro. They rent the house from my neighbor for the winter. They use the rooms inside the house to accommodate people and offer packages I think. Heard it was a bit pricey, but don't know exactly what it cost.
