should i take my board there( 6"8" )?

im leaving on the 25th of march to Dom Rep. but i dont know if i am stationed in the north or in the south. its more likely that i will be in the south punta cana and surroundings. if so is there a wave(just need one and im fine :-). and do U know if i can surf there with my 6"8" shortboard or i need to bring something bigger like a mini malibu??

i hope on a lot of reaction with confirmation that there is something surfable...i certainly hope so...

surfero por siempre

warmest regards
